Bubbie Con 2025
Bubbicon 2025 – Vintage Band-Inspired T-Shirt Design For Bubbicon 2025, I designed a T-shirt inspired by vintage 1980s band merchandise. The goal was to evoke a nostalgic, worn-in concert tee vibe with bold graphics and retro type. This project blended illustration with stylized distress T-Shirt to capture the energy and attitude of classic rock memorabilia.

In the tiki, tiki, tiki, room!
Tiki Birds – Polynesian Resort Tribute This personal project pays homage to the Tiki Room aesthetic and the Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World. I’ve long admired the lush, mid-century tiki style, and this piece was a love letter to that world. Created primarily in Adobe Illustrator, I focused on stylized character design and vibrant color palettes to bring the tropical charm to life.

Dragon's Breath Rum
Dragon’s Breath – D&D-Inspired Whiskey Label As a passion project, I created Dragon’s Breath, a fantasy-themed whiskey brand inspired by Dungeons & Dragons. Starting from my own hand-drawn sketches, I developed the concept in Photoshop and MidJourney to resemble the kind of rugged, mythical branding you’d expect from a tavern deep in a campaign world. This was a great exploration in label design, texture work, and fantasy world-building.

LEGENDS of CTHULHU
Role: Vice President of Art Direction | Co-Creator | Visual Strategist Legends of Cthulhu was a flagship product line developed by WARPO, blending Lovecraftian mythos with a deep love for retro toy design. As VP of Art Direction, I supported the creative vision for the brand, overseeing character design, sculpt direction, accessories, and visual storytelling from concept to shelf. Method Manufacturing: The line was created using our proprietary approach called Method Manufacturing, a philosophy that recreates the entire production pipeline as it would have existed in a specific historical era. For Legends of Cthulhu, that meant developing the figures, packaging, and promotional materials using processes, color palettes, sculpting styles, and storytelling tropes authentic to late 1970s to early 1980s toy lines, particularly those made famous by Kenner.

Legends of Cthulhu
Warpo – Legends of Cthulhu Product & Campaign Design While working with Warpo, We had the honor of collaborating with the late, great Ken Kelly to bring the Legends of Cthulhu toy line to life. Below are some of the other fun items we made. This included concept development and art direction on campaign materials for the Kickstarter launch. I also created supporting merchandise: a 1970s-style T-shirt catalog page, a retro-styled VHS containing our commercials and bonus content, illustrated using Photoshop to match the era’s tone and texture.

Saturday Morning Commercials
Warpo Commercials – Vintage Toy Ad Parody These commercials were among the most challenging and rewarding projects I’ve worked on. Inspired by classic Kenner toy ads from the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, I contributed scripts, shot lists, and designed all set pieces and props. The goal was to make the ads feel like they aired during Saturday morning cartoons, and I think we nailed the nostalgic look and tone.

Working alongside the incredibly talented Jim Groman, I wrote the script, developed the shot list, and designed all the backdrops and set props. The final result was a quirky, retro-styled commercial that celebrates both the weird and the wonderful.

Tiki Drink Field Note
Field Notes – Tiki Recipe Notebook Proposal As a long-time fan of Field Notes’ minimalist aesthetic and quality craftsmanship, I created a custom proposal for a new product: an alphabetized tiki cocktail recipe notebook. Designed with home bartenders and tiki enthusiasts in mind, the concept includes mockups of cover designs, interior layouts, and illustrations of classic drinks like the Navy Grog and Three Dots and a Dash. I sent this pitch to Field Notes in hopes they’d bring it to life—until then, it’s one of my favorite speculative design projects.

H.P. Lovecraft Foods – Satirical Product Packaging “Nothing says dinner like a heaping helping of noodles… and madness.” This satirical packaging concept—H.P. Lovecraft Foods—was created during my teaching career to demonstrate the creative process behind developing a humorous, fictional consumer product.
