Tiki Drink Field Note
With every new hobby or project, I always try to get a Field Notebook to support and document it. Recently, I was looking to get a Field Notebook to support my new obsession for Tiki drinks and culture. I was looking on your site for an alphabet index on the side of a notebook like vintage encyclopedias used to have. My goal to keep my Tiki drink recipes in order. This brings me to my humble suggestion that you create a Field Notebook celebrating the uniquely Kitch American invention that is Tiki Culture. Started in the 1930s when Ernest Gantt (better known as Donn Beach) who invented the craft and Trader Vic who elevated it to the next level. Below are some possible approaches that you have of course have used before. Cover: waterproof/tearproof Yupo Synthetic Waterproof cover. To protect from those overpours of Barbados rums and fruit juices. Innards: waterproof/tearproof Yupo Synthetic. Alphabetic (A-Z) dividers are bound book-style so it is easy to open to the desired drink recipes. Adding in some signature Tiki Drinks to get the owner started. The Zombie, Navy Grog, and the Mai Tai would be perfect. Possible partnership with two amazing Chicago Tiki Bars: Three Dots and a Dash (www.threedotschicago.com) and Lost Lake (www.lostlakechicago.com). Both amazing bars that are keeping Tiki culture alive and well. Possible Field Notebook Tiki swizzle, would be awesome! Again, I humbly suggest the idea to you. To do with, what you see fit. Either way, thanks for making such a superior product that has fueled so many of my passions and projects. With Regards, Tommy Baldwin
